A circuit is a complete path through which electricity flows.
👉 If the path is complete → Electricity flows
👉 If the path is broken → Electricity stops
💡 Simple Definition
A circuit is a closed loop that allows electricity to travel from a battery, through wires, to a device, and back to the battery.
🧩 Basic Parts of a Simple Circuit
1️⃣ Battery (Power Source)
- Provides electrical energy
- Example: AA battery, 9V battery
2️⃣ Wires (Pathway)
- Carry electricity
- Usually made of copper
3️⃣ Load (Output Device)
- Uses electricity
- Example: Bulb, Motor, Buzzer
4️⃣ Switch (Optional)
- Controls ON/OFF
🔄 Types of Circuits
✅ Closed Circuit
Complete path. The bulb glows.
❌ Open Circuit
Broken path. The bulb does NOT glow.
🧠 How Electricity Flows
- Battery pushes electrons.
- Electrons move through wires.
- They pass through the bulb.
- Bulb converts electricity into light.
- Electrons return to battery.
This complete loop is called a Circuit.
